Level 1 Kayak Camp

This camp is all about having fun in kayaks!

The mission of our Level 1 camp is to introduce kayaking to our younger age campers. In this camp, we spend a lot of time on flat lakes and calm stretches of river. We do not introduce the spray skirt in this camp as it can be intimidating for a kid when starting to learn. Kids in this camp learn how to follow the leader downriver, catch eddies, ferry from one side of the river to the other, and navigate a few easy class 2 rapids.

Recommended Age: 8 to 11 years old.

A 12-year-old who is new or timid to kayaking would fit in this program as well.

Experience Required: All participants need to be moderately proficient at swimming. Every kayaker will be provided a life jacket to wear throughout the week.

Cost: $545 if booked before March 1st

       $575 if booked after March 1st
