Kyle began paddling when he was 12 years old. His early years on the water were through a beloved Summer camp that offered back country canoe trips around Canada. In college, Kyle enrolled in a kayak club. He was immediately hooked and hasn't stopped kayaking since. With a passion for education and whitewater kayaking, Kyle began working as a kayak instructor during the Summer of 2020, before becoming the owner of Alpine Kayak in 2023. Kyle looks forward to the future of what Alpine Kayak can become for local kids in this community.
“I firmly believe that kayaking is an incredible skill that allows one to see some of the most beautiful places in the world. I have made it my mission to help others learn this skill and set out and experience some of these places for themselves. It is hard to put into words what kayaking has given me.”
When Kyle is not kayaking or working at the local ski academy as a math teacher he can be found snowboarding, backpacking, and spending time with his wonderful fiance.
